Brief job description:
Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for an Operational Technology Cyber Security Apprentice to provide technical consultancy services in close alignment with Energy and utilities client needs and assist the cyber team with various security deliverables through the lifecycle of an IT or OT development and Digital Transformation project.
Job Description:
You will have the desire to deliver innovative solutions within a critical infrastructure company. You will have studied IT at School / College and a base understanding of the cyber security issues facing organisations. You will have a desire to expand your understanding of the direction of travel for Operational Technology (OT) systems in terms of the integration of information systems and OT and what this means in terms of cyber security risks and enabling opportunities for business transformation through digitalisation. You will have good communication skills, dyslexic thinking skills and the ability to build relationships.
Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
- Contribute to comprehensive information security standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Build awareness of security trends, technologies, and legal and compliance requirements.
- Build an understanding of potential and emerging information security threats, vulnerabilities, and communicate this information to appropriate team members throughout the company on a timely basis.
- Engage in promoting and refining security awareness and training programs.
- Prepare reports and management information regarding the state and effectiveness of security controls.
- Evaluate and securely configure systems in line with guidelines laid out by the Security Engineer.
- Promote Enzens brand and values to enhance Enzen’s reputation in the market.

Training to be provided:

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 4 Cyber Security Technologist, with training in how to:
- Discover potential vulnerabilities, threats and hazards in your systems, services and processes.
- Develop security designs and configure, deploy and use appropriate cyber security technology to protect your business.
- Identify, analyse, and develop security cases to defend against potential threats.
- Write program code or scripts to meet a given design requirement that improves your cyber security.
- Understand latest attack techniques and recommend ways to defend against them.
