Job title: Typhoon Radar – Project Manager
Location: Warton – on site at least 3 days per week
Salary: £52,084 + depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
Reporting into the Radar Programme Manager, the key areas of responsibility will be:
- To deliver contract elements, in accordance with the schedule, via multiple internal and external stakeholders (Eurofighter, UK MOD, NETMA, Partner Companies, Suppliers, etc.).
- To ensure robust schedule and financial control over contracts in accordance with Earned Value Management principles.
- Ensure a robust risk and opportunity management process is embedded in day-to-day work.
- Ensure compliance with all aspects of BAE Systems processes and legislative requirements (Life Cycle Management, Export Control, Safety, etc.).
- Work closely with Customers providing regular updates and prioritising demands.
- Perform analytical assessments and reporting across all levels of the business to enable key decisions are effectively made.
- Contribute to the team’s ethos of continuous improvement of the processes and toolsets used to deliver the business.
Your skills and experiences:
Essentials:
- An understanding / experience of working on Multi-National BAE Systems projects (preferably Typhoon)
- A working knowledge of BAE Systems aircraft products and design processes (including the BAE Systems product / design life cycle)
- Have a relevant Project Management qualification (APM or degree equivalent)
Desirables:
- Familiarity with key toolsets such as Microsoft Project

The Typhoon Radar and Avionics Team:
This is a fast-paced customer and supplier facing environment with a large volume of work, managing a strategically important and complex development programme. This contract delivers important enhancements to the Typhoon Sensor capabilities, essential for the Nation's operational requirements. This role offers great opportunity for development and exposure to customers both within the UK and across Europe, including occasional travel requirements.
