Job Description Summary
We have a great opportunity to work within the recently formed Trade Controls Office, sitting within our Commercial & Institutional Banking division (CIB).
Our team is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations relating to Trade Controls across a variety of market products (e.g. for regulated derivative trading, bond markets, money markets) and proactively lead the risk and control framework across the Ring Fenced Bank and Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets (Non-Ringfenced Bank - through a shared service), in the first line of defence.
Job Description
We're looking for a new Associate to pro-actively work on the improvement and automation of relevant trade controls through strategic programmes and use data analytics to support decisions. You'll assist with providing assurance to Senior Management that we're delivering on Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) commitments in relation to Trade Controls. This is a new area for the bank and an exciting opportunity to join a team in its early stages.
What you'll be responsible for:
Supporting the team and playing a key role in the PRA Trade Controls Programme on behalf of the Ringfenced Bank and Non-Ringfenced Bank.
Supporting LBG’s integrated market products trading supervisory system
Ensure that appropriate indicators are developed and used to provide insights on the risk and control environment, sharing the insights across teams to support end to end risk management
Utilise your experience to deliver improvements through the use of data, technology and automation
Champion the team’s automation agenda, seeking to increase analytical capability via data-driven analysis, dashboards and improving processes.
Working with the Trade Controls Officer to ensure compliance with Trade Control regulations
Assist in the planning and assessment concerning mapping of key processes and controls across Front, Middle and Back Office
Understand root cause and mitigating actions for material events/events and incidents
Pro-actively work with internal and external partners to meet expectations and timescales
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Able to use data to make strategic or difficult decisions, understanding the data and what it's telling you - can find the insight and the compelling ‘so what’ story
Awareness of risks and controls associated with Trade Controls would be desirable, but we can help you to develop these skills if you do not have this experience
Able to tell simple stories, using insights and data, communicating across a diverse range of partners
Knowledge of current and emerging technologies, products and services offered by LBG businesses and a good understanding of our customer and operational risk profile.
Ability to use a range of analytical tools and techniques, to make clear recommendations and provide solutions to business needs
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills to work with people at all levels
Capabilities:

Ability to influence and build strong working relationships.
Capable in delivering informed and coherent materials for senior partners
