We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sector Head of Fleet and Plant to support the Local Highways Business Director on a hybrid basis.
This opportunity is to join our established Local Highways profile within our Transport Infrastructure business unit. We support our clients, Kent, Trafford, Surrey, and Staffordshire County Council by delivering a full range of highways infrastructure, environmental and waste services.
The Sector Head of Fleet and Plant play an important part by providing efficient and effective management relating to the provision of products and services provided by the Fleet & Plant business, together with P&L and operational service delivery accountabilities for those activities.
The standard hours of work are 37.5.

- Contributing and keeping an abreast of developments in the Fleet & Plant industry to ensure a range of appropriate options is available to improve business performance
- Delivering high quality solutions either through managing large people areas and resources or providing leading edge. Delivers professional expertise in their own field.
- Managing the department P & L / budget and develop an annual forecast programme to meet identified demands in accordance with agreed criteria
- Working with all Fleet & Plant colleagues to enhance the services provided
- Working proactively with the customer and supply chain to improve the customer experience
Experience managing major fleet and plant preferably within the highways sector or desirable a transport engineering sector. You will embrace full understanding of products and services provided by fleet solutions whilst having commercial and contractual awareness.
Ideally you will hold current Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in either one of “National Road Haulage Operations” or “National Passenger Transport Operations” is desired.
