Job Description

XEIAD are the largest provider of civil infrastructure inspections in the UK.

We pride ourselves on supporting the end to end management of a range of civil engineering assets, helping asset owners and managers keep critical infrastructure safe, reduce risk and maintenance costs as well as extend asset life.

Specialising in difficult access our teams have extensive experience inspecting structures such as bridges, culverts, retaining walls, tunnels, and shafts across industry sectors such as Rail, Highways, Marine, Utilities and Defence.

We are currently engaged in the delivery of numerous projects throughout the UK for and on behalf of many asset owners, managers and a large diversity of engineering consultancies including Network Rail, National Highways, Balfour Beatty, Kier and Atkins to name just a few.

Having recently joined the BES Group we are able to offer our customers even more critical asset and risk management services.

As an Administrator you will support the Rail Team with all Route administrative tasks including Road Rail Vehicle bookings and work order raising for exam manager approval.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Ensure that safety is always the priority, promote safe working practices, ensure full implementation and compliance with Key Processes and Safety Responsibility Matrix
  • Work closely with the Planning team and Manager(s) to ensure that work is planned to optimise the use of available OTP resources
  • Make arrangements for OTP suppliers to ensure POS reports are agreed with the planning team
  • Obtain all necessary quotation and save in an electronic repository for records
  • Act as co-ordinator for Lone Working application
  • Act as co-ordinator for reporting close calls to Network Rail
  • Act as co-ordinator for Fatigue Management information
  • Assist with Route administrative tasks – such as maintaining equipment registers
  • Arrange travel and accommodation when requested to do so.

Skills and Experience

  • 5 GCSE's Grade A-C, including Maths and English
  • Medically fit (pass pre-employment medical and ongoing medicals, including Drug and Alcohol tests)
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • IT Literate (Microsoft Office)
  • At least 1 years’ experience working on the rail infrastructure (Desirable)
