  • This role can be based at various GSK sites across the UK depending on the current location of the successful candidate. Specific locations can be discussed at the point of application.

The Qualified Person (QP) role provides a UK batch certification and release service to the Principal Trading Companies and Trading Partners, to ensure compliance with the GMP aspects of the laws governing the importation of products into the UK.

In this role you will…

  • Ensure a compliant operation is in place to allow for UK certification of imported batches of pharmaceutical products.
  • QP certify batches of multiple dose forms of pharmaceutical products imported into UK.
  • Ensure oversight of supply site operations via formal quality meetings with supplying sites and support regulatory inspections of supply sites, as required.
  • Ensure the UK Importation operation is inspection ready and front regulatory inspections of the QP certification process.
  • Maintain knowledge of legislation changes and proposals applicable to QP Certification, evaluate impact and propose mitigation for their compliant management and/or introduction.
  • Ownership of specific Quality Systems.

Why you?

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Science degree and experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and quality operations.
  • Certified QP with experience of QP certification of products and who has previously been named on a manufacturing licence as a QP.
  • Experience with the certification of major dose forms (tablets, cream/ointments), aseptic sterile manufacture and biopharm products.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturer Importation licences and Wholesaler Dealer Licences.
  • Experienced in UK / EU inspections.
  • Broad knowledge of quality management / GMP and GDP.
