The Sciences Team based in the Institute of Medical & Biomedical Education supports the SGUL Biomedical Science, Healthcare Science, Clinical Pharmacology and Intercalated BSc programmes, and the KU MPharm modular teaching programme.
Contributing to the broad work of the Sciences Team, the Science Programmes Officer may be required to provide administrative support for any of the programmes within the team’s remit, however it is anticipated that the post-holder would be specifically responsible for overseeing the organisation and delivery of all aspects of the BSc Healthcare Science programme; supporting nearly 100 full-time students from induction and enrolment through to graduation, and acting as the central point of contact for all programme-related arrangements and queries.
The role requires the post-holder to liaise with a wide range of academic staff, working particularly closely with the Course Director, Module Leads and NHS Clinical Placement Staff. The role also requires effective collaboration with administrative colleagues in the Examinations, Timetabling, and Admissions teams.
