Our client is looking for an Export/Import Operations Manager with the main emphasis being on Exports. A minimum of 2 years experience in a Managerial role is required.

Key Job Responsibilities
Contribute to the evaluation and development of operational strategy and performance measures
Accountable for daily operational productivity, profitability, procurement and planning, and delivering service excellence
Ensure the teams are effectively resourced, and rotas and absences are managed, to meet customer requirements
Direct involvement in recruitment: selection, induction, training and ongoing skills development for all direct reports, ensuring we attract and retain the best talent
Understand and comply with all company ISO and AEO requirements and policies
Ensure activities meet and integrate with organisational requirements for quality management, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care
Maintain and develop working relationships with other offices within the group, as well as clients, suppliers, and official bodies
Candidate Requirements
Manage and develop direct reporting staff, ensuring performance reviews are carried out and team leaders are supported in the induction and effective integration of new team members
Troubleshoot and offer advice on solutions for complex issues
Monitor, measure and report on operational issues, opportunities, development plans and achievements within agreed formats and timescales
Liaise with supplier management team to assist with carrier compliance and the introduction of new and relevant carriers
Previous experience using Cargowise and CDS are essential
Hours
Monday to Friday (Flexible between the hours of 7am and 6pm) plus to meet business needs
Salary
GBP40K to GBP50K depending on experience plus benefits. Bonus scheme
