Colmore, a Preqin company, is a market-leading, technology-driven private markets investor services business focused on the Limited Partner and Allocator market. The business operates from four offices located in New York and Dallas in the US, and London and Birmingham in the UK. Responsibilities:
The Business Analyst (BA) role spans across a number of cross-functional business units. Working with internal and external stakeholders to define, document and assist in the delivery of business requirements in relation to client implementations. You’ll support across a wide variety of projects related to Colmore’s service offering, particularly around our technology platforms. BA’s at Colmore ensure that detailed processes and technically driven requirements are captured in fine detail, whilst maintaining a strong product knowledge, technical background and a hands-on responsibility for project deliverables.
In this role you will

Establish effective working relationships with operations, project, and engineering teams.

Elicit and document business requirements from internal stakeholders (Colmore’s business units) as well as Colmore’s client base, reaching formal agreements for project deliverables alongside the PMO.

Become a “super-user” of Colmore’s technology platforms and proprietary data models/structures, acting as a bridge between business needs and technical specifications.

Assist in the definition and design of custom reporting and data output solutions for all areas of Colmore’s business, providing documentation for business and technical stakeholders.

Provide stakeholder training and support during the embedding of new systems and processes.
Qualifications:
- You have experience in requirements elicitation and documentation in a Business Analyst role or similar.
- You possess an analytical approach to your work with an understanding of data management principals including SQL Language.
- You can identify redundant tasks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement.

You’re competent in using technologies such as Jira and Confluence.
- You have an understanding of finance, accounting concepts and terminology, though this is preferred and not mandatory.
