Legal Caseworker Internship
National Centre for Domestic Violence is a not for profit organisation helping victims of domestic abuse and violence obtain injunctions against their perpetrators.
We are looking for 2nd year Law students with an interest in Family Law to come and join our team on either a 12 month placement starting in August 2023 or a 30 week placement starting in January 2024.
The role is working in our Pro Bono team speaking with applicants, drafting witness statements and filling in court documents for Non Molestation Orders, Prohibited Steps Orders and Occupation Orders.
The role will be based in our Guildford offices so travel to the offices each day is required, the hours are Monday – Friday 9am – 5.30pm with a 1 hour lunch.
This position will help you in determining what legal route you wish to take after you have graduated, however it will give you some fantastic skills in speaking with clients, drafting court paperwork and good legal knowledge in Family Law.
Once you have graduated from University we will offer all our Interns an opportunity to come back and work with us as a Trainee Paralegal with the view to progress to our sister company National Legal Service where you can work towards a training contract or you’re SQE and become a fully qualified Solicitor.
Please note that this position only applies to current 2nd year students looking to take internship work throughout their 3rd year of University, if you have completed your degree or Masters you will not be considered for this internship.
