You’ll have overall responsibility for project estimating, budgeting, resource allocation and management of a matrix organisation, financial management, RAID management, planning, monitoring and control of delivery and quality management, all within an lean-agile environment.

Here’s a bit more about what you’ll be doing:
- Manage large, complex projects and programmes using appropriate project delivery methodologies and approaches, including; Agile, Waterfall, Iterative development.
- Provide clear communication, direction and leadership of large complex initiatives in order to maximise the overall effectiveness in support of the Company’s and Departments’ goals.
- Secure appropriate resources from the enterprise to successfully deliver the change initiative, keeping the customer at the heart of everything you do. Define roles and responsibilities for all project team members upon commencement, motivate and coach the project team from a matrix management perspective.
- Lead and communicate objective feedback at all stages of the project lifecycle and conduct project performance reviews at completion for all assigned project resources, making recommendations for further development where appropriate.
- Plan, execute, monitor, control and close projects ensuring adherence to VWFS UK’s Delivery Framework, processes and tools.
- Ensure all project deliverables and work packages are fit for purpose, of high quality and produced within agreed timelines and budgets and approved ahead of stage review milestones.

This is what you will bring to the role:
- Demonstrable experience of running large complex projects or programmes comprised of multiple projects targeted at achieving specific strategic objectives.
- Highly experienced Project Manager with the capability to run multiple, unrelated projects concurrently within a lean-agile environment.
- Qualification in relevant lean-agile practices and methodologies.
- Significant experience of creating, requesting and managing multi million pound budgets in a tightly regulated environment.
- Significant experience of developing robust and compelling business cases for projects.
- Awareness of requirements for operating within regulatory and compliance landscape relevant to the Financial Services sector.
- Demonstrable experience of managing people in a matrix managed environment by providing direction, support, guidance and coaching.
- Proven leadership skills in building, developing and retaining high performing teams, including providing coaching and feedback
- Excellent negotiating and influencing skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers including Board level stakeholders
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to present complex data and arguments in ways that are accessible to everyone. A tenacious attitude is critical
- Growth mindset, deep curiosity to learn, experiment and continuously improve

A salary ranging from £51-69k subject to experience and working 35 hours per week.
