Huttons Hotel London is currently seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist to join our team. As a Receptionist, you will play a crucial role in creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests, ensuring their stay at our hotel is comfortable and enjoyable.
Responsibilities:
Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the hotel in a friendly and professional manner.
Check guests in and out of the hotel, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions to guests.
Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to resolve any issues to the guest's satisfaction.
Answer phone calls, take messages, and transfer calls to the appropriate departments.
Assist guests with luggage and escort them to their rooms if required.
Maintain accurate records of guest information and transactions using the hotel's computer systems.
Handle cash and credit card transactions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to hotel policies.
Coordinate with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping and maintenance, to ensure guest needs are met.
Assist with reservations and bookings, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Maintain a clean and organised reception area, ensuring it is presentable at all times.
Follow hotel security procedures to maintain the safety and well-being of guests and staff.
Stay updated on hotel policies, procedures, and promotions to provide accurate information to guests.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a receptionist or in a similar customer service role is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Friendly and outgoing personality with a positive attitude.
Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
Proficient in using computer systems and basic office software.
Knowledge of hotel reservation systems is a plus.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
