Salary
Full time starting salary is normally in the range of £26,860 to £28,991 per annum.
About the Role
This is a customer-facing role that exists to assure that students receive a professional service, ensuring that we bill them, collect money, process bursaries and debt chase on a timely basis.
About You
You will have experience of working in a busy environment in a large complex organisation or Higher Education institution. You will be customer focused in your approach to work, have good numeracy/analytical skills and good organisational and time management skills.
You must be able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of double entry bookkeeping. You will have experience across the range of different tasks relating to operating the Sales Ledger and related credit control practices.
You will have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate both orally and in writing with key stakeholders across the University, our students, sponsors and other third parties.
Ideally you will have or be willing to work towards the AAT qualification (or equivalent), or alternatively you will be able to demonstrate equivalent relevant work experience. Prior experience of using our Finance system Agresso will be an advantage as will experience of accounting for apprenticeships.
