We are recruiting a Senior Compliance Officer to join our Academic Registry. The role will lead on both the delivery of services to ensure that we meet United Kingdom Visa and Immigration Services (UKVI) demanding standards, as well as to ensure that our students have the correct Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) certificates, to enable them to undertake their placements. Whilst having sector knowledge would be beneficial, being able to demonstrate transferable skills would be equally as appropriate.
You will need:
- A positive and proactive approach, with an ability to listen to deliver change through a small team.
- To challenge poor performance and be able to support staff through a personal development program, with support from your Service Development Manager
- An ability to use data to help develop and improve business processes.
- To review and challenge existing processes and agree and implement new ways of working across the University.
This is a permanent full-time role.
The university is currently operating a hybrid-model of working. However, the successful candidate would be expected to work on campus for a proportion of each week, with the primary work location being Pontypridd, although there will be an expectation to work across all USW including the Newport and Cardiff Campuses, where some of the team will be based.
