About the department:
Providing high-quality homes is vitally important to us to help alleviate the shortage of affordable housing. In addition to managing and maintaining our existing homes, we have an ambitious but achievable aim to deliver 4,000 new homes across our regions over the next five years and with a focus on building more sustainably. We deliver outstanding new homes for sale and rent and form innovative partnerships with a range of developers and forward-thinking local authorities to build and create communities.
As a highly-motivated individual you will be part of a dedicated and busy development team which is led by the Operations Director of Development and consists of two Assistant Directors who lead on our growth and programme delivery and three small teams of which you will be a key part, consisting of a Development Manager, Project Manager and Development Officer.
Alongside this team are five Clerks of Works who are based on-site to check the quality of the new homes we build and provide technical support. Together with our in-house sales team, Snugg Homes, who market and sell our homes for sale, the team is committed and works together to provide a great service to our customers.
Role Information
As an Assistant Project Manager you are responsible for the project management of a number of new build schemes for affordable rent and sale.
You will lead each project team of consultants and contractors to ensure the successful delivery of each new home and carry out financial appraisals to support the pipeline of new homes as well as monitoring project expenditure with live cashflows.
Your effective communication will ensure our internal and external customers are fully informed on the delivery dates of our new homes and that business targets are achieved.
With strong organisational skills you will ensure all compliance and system updates are completed accurately.
