An exciting opportunity has arisen for a suitably experienced Administrator to join the Occupational Therapy Service within Ceredigion. This is a part time role based in Bronglais General Hospital, Aberystwyth.
The Ceredigion Occupational Therapy team is a busy, dynamic, friendly and welcoming team of Occupational Therapists and Support Workers working within the hospital and across the community.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised individual to become part of our team and provide administration and secretarial support, contributing to the delivery of a quality Occupational Therapy Service within Hywel Dda University Health Board.
The successful applicant will have a flexible approach to the needs of the service, be able to promote good customer service and maintain effective working relationships. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; English and/or Welsh Speakers are equally welcome to apply.
The post holder is expected to deliver an effective and competent level of administrative support to clinical staff and service leads; having good communication skills and demonstrating an ability to work alone as well as in collaboration with others.
You will assist in the administrative duties of the service including dealing with enquiries via phone, email, and face to face, typing, scanning, filing, ordering office supplies, supporting clinical administration activity, and undertaking other general administration tasks as delegated.
You will also process patient information using both clerical and electronic systems in compliance with agreed policies and procedures, and provide information for reporting purposes as required.
Hywel Dda University Health Board is the planner and provider of NHS healthcare services for people in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire and its bordering counties. Our 11,000 members of staff provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services for around 384,000 people across a quarter of the landmass of Wales. We do this in partnership with our three local authorities and public, private and third sector colleagues, including our volunteers, through:
- Four main hospitals: Bronglais General in Aberystwyth, Glangwili General in Carmarthen, Prince Philip in Llanelli and Withybush General in Haverfordwest;
- Seven community hospitals: Amman Valley and Llandovery in Carmarthenshire; Tregaron, Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire Hospital Health and Social Care Resource Centre in Pembrokeshire;
- 48 general practices (four of which are managed practices), 47 dental practices (including three orthodontic), 99 community pharmacies, 44 general ophthalmic practices (43 providing Eye Health Examination Wales and 34 low vision services) and 17 domiciliary only providers and 11 health centres;
- Numerous locations providing mental health and learning disabilities services;
- Highly specialised and tertiary services commissioned by the Welsh Health Specialised Services Committee, a joint committee representing seven health boards across Wales.
