We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team within the Housekeeping Department as Housekeeping Trainee/Intern for The Ritz's 4+1 programme.

4+1 Internship Programme consists of four operational days in Housekeeping covering one of the roles listed below and one day cross training in different areas in Room Division and Food and Beverage. In addition to that, there will be a specialised training according to the student’s preference, subject to availability. This programme can be run as both a 6-month internship or a 1-year internship.


RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The successful candidate will be committed to delivering exceptional service to our guests while maintaining The Ritz London’s 5-star luxury standards. As a Housekeeping Trainee, responsibilities also include:


  • To maximize guest satisfaction by providing tidy, clean and safe guest rooms in accordance with the standards of The Ritz Hotel
  • Checks Housekeeping stock on a daily basis and notifies the department immediately if any shortages exist
  • To complete the “Job of the Day” which can include; silver polishing, high dusting, cleaning skirting boards and doors
  • Ensure the housekeeping department must be kept presentable, clean and tidy at all times
  • Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, supervisors and managers


ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Educated or currently studying hospitality, or similar
  • Educated to Hotel diploma or equivalent level
  • Relevant experience in a 5* property is desirable
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Possess the ability to work under pressure and have strong organisational skills
  • Good command of the English language, both spoken and written
  • Display a polite and professional attitude to internal and external guests
