Job Description
New England Seafood is a major supplier of fresh and frozen premium sustainable fish and seafood in the UK and one of the largest importers of fresh tuna. Our customers are: the UK’s leading supermarkets including Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose; as well as smaller retail outlets; restaurant chains; food service markets and wholesale sectors nationwide.
We are looking for a Haddock Filleter to work on our flowline, Monday to Friday 6am to finish (usually between 8-12 hours a day) Weekend work is also a requirement on occasion.
Role responsibilities:
To fillet Haddock to a high standard, maintaining the required yields and quality whilst minimising waste.
Clean as you go
Adhere to all company H&S policies & procedures
Ensure knives and equipment are cleaned and sharpened accordingly
Ensure block and work area is kept clean and to the correct standard
Check fish for any rejects or defects and action accordingly
Pay rate is based on size and species of fish (Piece work - to be discussed at interview, Earning potential in excess of £40k)
