SENIOR EARLY YEARS PRACTITIONER – 1 YEAR MATERNITY LEAVE COVER
Based at Todmorden Children’s Centre Nursery
37.5 hours per week
Working between the hours of 8.00 am – 5.00 pm Monday – Friday
Salary – £23,741.49 per annum
This role is ideal for people who have experience of working in nursery settings and are looking to take the first step into management.

Our Early Years Team is now looking for passionate and enthusiastic team members, committed to supporting children & families.
Based within Todmorden Children’s Centre Nursery rated “Good”, you will be leading a team of Early Years Practitioners to a provide a welcoming, secure and stimulating environment, for children aged between 0 - 5 years. You will have management responsibility for a small number of staff and will be leading the daily routine within the nursery room supporting children to reach their full learning potential. We’re looking for someone who is confident, driven and can flex to a range of situations. You’ll be innovative in your approach to delivering early years support and will have the qualifications and experience to back it up.
Key responsibilities:
· Supervision of a small team of staff, volunteers & students
· To a provide a welcoming, secure and stimulating environment, for children aged between 0 - 5 years
· Working directly with parents, carers to support children to reach their full learning potential.
You should apply for this role if you have:
· A minimum Level 3 or above qualification in childcare, a level 6 qualification is desirable but not essential
· Substantial and recent practical working knowledge of EYFS to include Statutory EYFS welfare requirements and tracking the development and progress of children
· At least 3 years’ experience of providing high quality childcare within the community
· Experience of line managing staff would be desirable but not essential
· Excellent understanding of the developmental needs of babies and young children
· Experience of providing high quality childcare in a day care setting
· Experience of partnership working with parents and carers
