Job introduction

An opportunity has arisen to recruit a part time permanent Environmental Health Officer to join our Food Safety and Health & Safety Team. You will be a fully qualified, experienced and competent Food Safety Officer. All applicants must hold a Degree in Environmental Health or a Diploma in Environmental Health that is recognised by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. Applicants must also hold an Environmental Health Registration Board certificate (EHRB certificate) or be a Registered or Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner as defined by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health registration pathways.

About the role

This is an exciting prospect for a motivated person to join our vibrant team of Food Safety Professionals. You will have a good knowledge and experience of Food Safety or you will be working towards the development of this.

You will possess the ability to think on your feet and be up for a challenge. You will also understand attention to detail, be motivated and provide a high level of customer service and be an excellent communicator.

Working within a team you will have the ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues and be able to work well both within the team and on your own initiative.

You will also have a flexible approach to work and be able to work well under pressure, manage your own workload and prioritise your work to meet deadlines.

Additional information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term-time only.
