Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated, experienced and qualified Biomedical Scientist to lead our Immunology Section in the Biochemistry Department based at Salford Royal Hospital. You will be able to demonstrate excellent knowledge and experience of Immunology and/or Biochemistry and will have underpinning knowledge of accreditation, clinical governance, leadership and training.
Our Immunology Section provides assays for myeloma screening, oligoclonal bands and TAU protein on site, whilst also acting as a referral service for complex Immunology testing to support our Specialist Clinical teams across the Northern Care Alliance.
You must be a committed team player and be able to motivate and support training activities. You will play an essential role in continuously improving the services offered and managing change.
- Manage and coordinate day to day activities of the Immunology section
- Participate in technical work, analyse and interpret results
- Responsible for standard and quality of results
- Key trainer for Health and Safety and Fire procedures
