What will you be doing?
The Junior Project Manager will manage the delivery of small projects or well-structured medium sized projects, or workstreams within larger projects under the guidance of a Programme Manager. This role is responsible for ensuring the successful controlled delivery of these projects; and as part of this may be required to be involved in other project activities, including preparing business cases; undertaking analysis; supporting design; configuration; testing and leading training / stakeholder communications.
some of your responsibilities will be:
- To support and lead on workstreams, projects and activities as required
- To support the Programme Managers in capturing key project information to inform planning, initiation and execution
- Monitor the progress of projects; identify and escalate issues that may compromise delivery
- Ensure projects are delivered to time, cost & quality and within agreed tolerances
- To work with key stakeholders to understand the project requirements
- Day to Day lead from design, implementation, training and closure, as required
- Maintain key project information in central repository including scope/ approach documents; project plans; risk, issue assumption and decision logs
- Ensure project team meetings are productive, liaising with key stakeholders / project team to set agendas, circulating pre-reading in advance
- Capture concise and accurate meeting minutes, actions and decisions in a timely manner
- Collate & compile slides and papers for programme & group governance forums
- Ensure effective training & communication is delivered, embedded and supported
- Capture and feedback lessons learnt to help form future approaches for projects and programmes
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Financial Services experience, desirable
- Experience of operating in a change environment, desirable
- Pragmatic approach and ‘can do’ attitude
- Organisation and prioritisation skills
- Self-starting and able to drive forward delivery
- Proficient IT skills in core Microsoft Office systems
