The Role
Working as part of the Garden Team your role will be to install fibre optic cabling above and below ground, to residential and commercial customer properties.
Shortlisted applicants will be offered a Trial Day with the Garden Works team instead of a formal type interview. At Wessex Internet we value the importance of candidates fully understanding what our field based roles involve and getting a little taster. The successful candidates will receive full payment for this trial day in their first pay packet.
Responsibilities

Meet customers on site and discuss cable routes that suit the customers’ needs
- Use various methods, including a mini mole plough, to install/lay fibre cables across customers gardens (full training provided)
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with specific Health and Safety policies
- Contribute towards the development of best practice procedures for all activities
- Use information provided to install fibre cabling with minimal impact on existing services
- Ensure appropriate and timely communication with our customers
Requirements

Experience full-time work in an outdoor role
- Proven ability to develop yourself
- Organised, with excellent time keeping skills
- Knowledge of groundwork and ground services
- Be able to work hard unsupervised
- Well presented (work clothing supplied)
- Demonstrates confidence
- Current driving license
- Display excellent customer facing skills

Our offices are based in rural Dorset which does not receive regular public transport services. Please ensure your travel plans to and from the office to support this role if you are a successful candidate, you may at times be required to visit Site and will require own travel arrangements for this.
Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 per annum, based on a 45 hour week (depending on experience)
