As a Trainee Planner you will work as part of the Rail team to assist with the successful delivery of allocated contracts, ensuring that all works are planned to be undertaken safely and in accordance with XEIAD Policies and Procedures.
Typically, the role will consist of supporting Assistant Planners and Planners on a day-to-day basis with the planning of the workbank, maintain the log of Safe Work Packs and monitor the return of SWPs. You will be required to attend internal planning meetings to build and develop working relationships with colleagues and key stakeholders within the planning process.
The key objective of a Trainee Planner is to initially gain an understanding and develop knowledge of the rail infrastructure and rail planning standard NR/L2/OHS/019 whilst working towards achieving Personal Track Safety and Safe System of Work Planner Sentinel Competences.

Skills and Experience
- Must have a “can do” attitude willing to learn and progress to become a competent planner on a very busy reactive contract
- Computer literate and familiar with MS Office suite.
- Have good written and oral communication skills
- Eligible to work and reside in the UK
