Introduction:
The Boeing Company is currently hiring a Project Management Specialist in the UK, in the Sheffield area. You will coordinate, support and lead research and technology projects on different composite technology and seek, align and pursuit new strategical opportunities for Boeing Research and Technology in the region.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop relationship, technical exchanges and statement of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and business requirements with focus on production system for composite structures.
Support and manage the execution of the work statement in the projects.
Monitor, adjust and follow risk mitigation and opportunity actions.
Provides the Project Manager and Engineering leadership to a teams representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers.
Works with the team and customers to obtain approval. Responds to changes to SOW, assesses the impact and negotiates proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs and schedules.
Monitor business unit operational health, understand factors contributing to performance, provide recommendations for improvement as necessary, and coordinate with internal and external organizations regularly to ensure compliance to plan.
Improve and maintain the operating rhythm architecture that is conducive to running a healthy project including coordination with cross-functional personnel to prepare for key meetings and facilitation of level strategic meetings
Monitor and track portfolio projects, understand impact of each project to business, and communicate status
Please note that the position might require occasional travel
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters’s Degree or equivalent acquired.
Experience in project management.
Experience on composite and production systems.
Skill and ability to: collect, organize, synthesize, and analyze data; summarize findings; develop conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources and link interests.
Experience on design, production, and build processes.
Experience on multi-disciplinary environments
Ability to state what is needed to persuade and convince others without causing defensiveness and to inspire others to take action.
Ability to support, manage and delegate the project team's responsibilities and tasks through all stages of the project life cycle.
Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area.
Proficient in English.
