THE ROLE:
The purpose of this job is to help to deliver One plus One’s programme of research to fulfil the organisation’s objectives of understanding and supporting couple relationships. A core part of this role will be monitoring and evaluation of our work with local authorities, and liaising with practitioners about their use of our digital interventions.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
· To conduct our usual monitoring and evaluation of local authority’s use of our digital package. This includes carrying out quarterly learning sets with practitioners from local authorities, designing pre- and post-test surveys, tidying and analysing quantitative data from multiple locations, writing quarterly qualitative reports, sending monthly sign-up and usage data emails.
· To assist with the conduct of other research projects, where necessary. This may include participating in survey design, interviewing, contributing to the analysis and interpretation of quantitative and qualitative data, and writing of research reports.
· To carry out background research through liaison with other organisations and literature searches to inform projects and project planning. To analyse and summarise literature and other material as part of research projects.
· To assist with project and departmental administration. Organise and maintain project files, including data collection files, references and any other project related information, such as questionnaires and transcripts. Generate correspondence, reports and graphics.
· To assist with the dissemination of research findings, through writing articles and other briefings, and to contribute to seminars and presentations.
· To keep up to date with published and ongoing research in this field and disseminate information about projects or papers of interest to other members of staff.
· To work with colleagues to identify new research ideas and to develop proposals.
· To attend meetings of staff and to respond to actions agreed at meetings.
· Any other appropriate duties which may be requested by the Senior research lead or CEO.
ABOUT YOU:
You will have experience with:
· Quantitative data collection, tidying and analysis
· Literature reviews
· Report writing
· Facilitating qualitative groups (e.g. learning sets, focus groups)
· Comprehensive knowledge of SPSS or R
and a good knowledge of:
· Google analytics or other analytics packages
· Excel
