The rate of pay for this role is £12.59 per hour starting on 1st June 2023.
The shift pattern is 4 days per week - Monday to Thursday (40 hours per week) on rotating days and afternoons: 5AM till 3PM and 2PM till 12AM.

The purpose of the QA Operative role
The Quality Assurance Operative is a member of the site technical team. Reporting to the Quality Lead/Supervisor, this role is responsible for supporting the delivery of the Quality Assurance program on site, for Tea and Coffee to deliver food safe and consistently good products.
Key Responsibilities
The Quality Assurance operatives is to ensure that all products are produced within Food Hygiene, Safety and Legal requirements, as well as meeting customer product specifications.

To be responsible for completing scheduled quality inspections and sample collections on the production line ensuring that all products meet the required standard as defined.

Ensure that all Quality checking devises/machinery are working correctly, to allow accurate checks and inspections to be made.

Assist in the complete analysis of caffeine levels in both the tea and coffee products at various stages of the production process.

Responsible for conducting internal housekeeping and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) audits throughout the factories, to maintain the standards required.

Responsible for the completion of all necessary paperwork and Quality systems (e.g. Data Capture) accurately and in a timely manner.

Ensure the non-conforming products procedure is followed, to ensure corrective and preventative actions are taken.

Work in a flexible manner with the ability to work across different tasks and functions including both the Tea and Coffee Factories, where necessary.

Work in close partnership with fellow QA Operatives to promote shared knowledge, transfer of skills and experience.

Develop relationships, working practices and effective communication channels with colleagues within other departments, working together in the joint ownership of any issues and problem-solving activities.

Promote and work within the Key Behaviours in all tasks that are completed to ensure that the organisation can strive to achieve its Core Purpose.

Take an active role in identifying personal training needs and show an enthusiasm to learn and develop with the role of QA Operative
