As the Senior Communications Officer dedicated to this work, you will deliver high-quality communications and engagement in support of our exciting transformation projects across KMPT.
You will lead on designing and delivering insight-led, creative communications plans that inform and engage our staff, service users & their loved ones, and wider stakeholders.
You will work closely with the KMPT communications and engagement team, as well as colleagues involved in successfully delivering the projects, and have the opportunity to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
This is a fixed term contract for two years (24 months).
- Help promote and explain KMPT’s transformation programme to internal and external stakeholders, to encourage two-way engagement and drive behaviour change.
- Create and deliver proactive engagement campaigns to help secure staff involvement with, and support for,individual transformation projects, using insight to inform them and communications best practice to deliver them.
- Design and deliver proactive communications plans to reach and explain new systems or services to external stakeholders, including patients and their loved ones.
- Draft messaging that resonates with target audiences and deliver creative and innovative communications tactics and products that meet the target audiences' needs.
- Provide strategic communications advice to key stakeholders working at differing levels of seniority across KMPT.
- Effectively evaluate work to create important insight to inform future projects or iterations of the same project.

- To identify, develop and implement effective channels, products and toolkits for reaching staff and stakeholders in support of transformation projects and programmes, including recommending new ways of working where appropriate.
- Deliver day-to-day communications which ensure excellent communication and engagement with target stakeholders throughout each project.
- Organise and deliver staff and stakeholder transformation events.
- Provide strategic counsel to colleagues.
- Work closely with the KMPT communications team to manage the strategic co-ordination of KMPT's external and internal communications activity – contributing to proactive forward-planning for all channels.
- Identify opportunities, potential risks and interdependencies across organisational priorities.
- Ensure transformation communications are integrated and complementary with KMPT-wide communications.
- Create inspiring and innovative content, including video, and write compelling and concise communications.
- Create content for digital channels including the intranet, staff app, social media channels, and monitor engagement.
- Build effective relationships with all stakeholders and manage your workload to ensure delivery of work to deadlines.
- Commission graphic design to support transformation campaigns and other communications.
- Evaluate communications activity and report this to the director and senior colleagues.
- Be able to work autonomously and collaboratively, as a member of an extended team, to deliver on KMPT priorities.
