An exciting role has become available for the right candidate within the Council’s Managed Workspace Centre Team.

The successful individual will be initially based at the Louis Pearlman Centre but will be required to travel to other Managed Workspace Centres.

You must be a self-motivated individual with the ability to communicate effectively and have a personable nature - all are important attributes to the role.

You will provide a building user focussed caretaking/handyperson service, which includes basic cleaning, repairs and maintenance, painting, gardening, security, and porterage functions within the Council’s Managed Workspace Centres. The role requires you to liaise with staff, visitors, contractors, supplies and other team members to ensure a clean and safe environment for all users.

The role requires a proactive member of the Managed Workspace team to ensure the needs of customers and the public are met. You will reflect a positive image of the Council whilst maintaining agreed levels of security in communal areas of the centres. You will work with staff members in providing layout of meeting/conference rooms according to customer requirements. Undertake building checks – including emergency lighting and fire alarm testing to be carried out as directed. Ensure that skip compound areas are kept clean, and that waste is put out on collection days. As well as dealing with contractors onsite and show them to locations where works are needed to be carried out.
