The successful candidate will bring highly effective leadership capacity to our senior leadership team working closely with the principal to ensure our academy sustains its high expectations and continues to provide a high quality of education in a culture of inclusion and consistency that puts students first. You will join our inspirational School in the Heart of North Yorkshire and will be the key senior leader of Deep Support which encompasses our Inclusion team putting students at the very heart of everything it does. You will add value to the academy in both academic terms and through involvement in the fabric of learning and success beyond the classroom.

The role of Assistant Principal provides strategic and operational leadership, ideally you will have a specialism in Science to join our excellent science department comprising seven colleagues. You will have a strong commitment to providing educational excellence inspiring, engaging and enthusing staff, children and our community in this vision. You will strive to enhance and ensure positive life chances are commonplace for our students through success and achievement. Additionally, you will provide strong pastoral leadership across the academy leading initiatives to improve the attainment, attendance and behaviour of students across all year groups. You will strive to build on the successful pastoral care, positive interventions and emotional support ensuring the highest possible quality of pastoral leadership to support our educational vision. Your strong leadership of students and staff and ability to provide effective support to colleagues will enable the academy to achieve the best possible outcomes for all of our students and foster students’ positive engagement in school life.
