What you will do:
As our Learning & Development Manager, you'll get the opportunity to be a key driver of our exponential growth. You'll be working in-person at one of our UK locations and will have the opportunity to make a real impact, working at both an operational and strategic level in a start-up where your work and the results are highly tangible and matter to the business.
Responsibilities will vary as a reflection of the evolving business needs, however, they will be mostly centred around defining, developing and delivering world-class, progressive experiential learning programs, driving high performance across all levels.
Partnering with stakeholders to design, organise, manage, and scale systems, processes and controls, driving functional readiness, skills development, and impactful L&D experiences and behaviours to achieve personal and business growth.
Collaborating with stakeholders to scope and define short and long-term requirements, and proactively plan and design programs that support global and regional training initiatives. This will include leadership development, apprenticeships, graduate programs and internships.
Identifying and implementing a Learning Management System to develop standardisation, highlight key processes and align innovative improvements across teams.
Developing and implementing on-boarding training programs to ensure new team members are engaged and have the appropriate training to succeed.
Delivering training programs through using various instructional techniques eg virtual instructor led, e-learning, class-room based.
Implementing and managing the Competency Framework and identifying skills gaps.
Partnering with colleagues to drive succession planning activities and knowledge transfer.
Planning and proactively monitoring the progress of multiple initiatives to ensure a
comprehensive and progressive approach to advancing learning and development experiences.
We would like you to have:
Degree educated with additional qualifications in one of the following; professional L&D/ assessor/teaching certification; organisational development, organisational psychology, leadership coaching, psychometric testing,
Experience of leading and development learning and development in an automotive retail/manufacturing start-up that has scaled rapidly,
Experience of designing and delivering successful training programs, including leadership development, technical training, and soft skills training,
Experience of implementing and working with innovative learning technology eg LMS, eLearning software, virtual classroom technology, third-party learning applications, and wider blended learning and engagement solutions.
Has set-up a variety of global external learning suppliers/vendors
Experience of working alongside senior stakeholders to design OD and training solutions to support the development of their teams and services.
Action orientated, and a multi-tasker who successfully prioritises and executes against tight deadlines.
