About the role and our team
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to lead our Agriculture and Food teams within the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture.
As Director of Agriculture and Food you will lead in developing and growing strategic and collaborative working relationships between the Department and the agricultural & food sectors.
You will provide specialist advice and support to the Department Minister and Political Members on matters including policy and legislation, in the areas of Agriculture and Food development.
You will play a key part in supporting the Department in the management of the relationship of the Isle of Man with UK Government agricultural agencies, (including agencies in the devolved administrations) including involvement on issues relating to EU trade compliance matters.
Operating as a Member of the DEFA Executive Leadership Team you will support the Chief Officer in the delivery of wider DEFA and Government objectives and constructively contribute to corporate initiatives to ensure collaboration and a joined up approach.
