The Faculty of Science and Engineering Teaching Academy is responsible for developing and providing Continual Professional Development for all members of staff. This role will work with the faculty eLearning manager and Associate Dean for Teaching Academy to meet this strategical aim.
Under the direction of the eLearning Manager, the post holder will contribute to and support the development and effective implementation, coordination and maintenance of a number of Continuous Professional Development initiatives. The role will provide administrative support and act as a key interface during the scoping, development, launch and running of these programs. This role will be key in ensuring a continuous improvement of communications across the Faculty and Schools. The work of the Project Coordinator will be wide ranging and varied.
Working with the CPD Administrator, together you will support the various existing programs including the Faculty New Academics Program and the Foundations of Teaching and Learning Program to deliver a high quality of service supporting staff to engage in these programs, monitoring assessments and marking processes, communicating and recruiting presenters, servicing meetings and committees and organising events to support the faculty CPD initiative.
You will communicate with stakeholders and a community of colleagues on a day-to-day basis and will provide support to a continued focus on output and successful project delivery.
You will be working in a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment and, as such, the range of duties etc. set out below is indicative and not prescriptive. You will be expected to show flexibility and adaptability in meeting the developing needs of the Faculty and Schools. A proactive, positive and energetic approach is important, as is the ability to establish a good rapport with all stakeholders.
