Fixed Term Intelligence Analyst Posts until 31st March 2025
We are looking to fill two fixed term intelligence analyst posts until 31st March 2025. One supporting Drug Harm Prevention (Project Adder) and one funded by the Home Office GRIP project, to provide targeted analytical support and insight in support of violence prevention and targeted hotspot policing.
The posts will be based predominantly in Bridgend, with a requirement for attendance at other locations within the force area on a regular basis.
The successful candidates will be responsible for undertaking analysis in relation to a broad range of criminal areas, utilising a diverse array of data from police and partner agencies. The analysis will be used to inform understanding of the drivers and implications of crime and violence, including impact on victims and offenders.
We are looking for candidates with excellent IT and report writing skills, good problem solving and an analytical mindset, although all necessary specialist training will be provided. The successful candidate will be eligible to participate in the College of Policing Intelligence Professionalisation Programme (IPP) to become a nationally accredited Intelligence Analyst.
Due to the specialist nature of Intelligence Analysis, the department is able to hold a pool of successful candidates for a period of 6 months after a recruitment process. This should be considered when applying as unsuccessful candidates for this post, who meet the proscribed criteria may subsequently be offered an intelligence analyst post elsewhere in the organisation.
This post is not suitable for job share/part time workers as it requires continuity due to the nature of the role.
The successful Candidate must be willing to undergo vetting to MV/SC Vetting.
Please note, if you are subject to an ongoing PSD investigation, you appointment or placement in the role may be delayed pending an outcome. Whether the role is held open will be considered on a case-by-case basis
