Job Description
Portfolio Analytics, sitting within the Digital Banking unit, is a specialist team responsible for developing methodology, data and tools used in both BCB and CIB, to support the delivery of sustainable returns, manage the capital needs and execute risk distribution transactions.
Our Distribution Team is looking for an exceptional professional to take the quantitative modelling forward. The team is responsible for building quantitative methods and tools to support the Market pricing of assets (MTM), the Capital Risk Transfer modelling and the execution of Collateral Debt Obligations (CDO). The role provides the opportunity to work flexibly, collaboratively and further develop your skills within a team with multifaceted strengths.
What you'll be doing:
Develop quantitative tools and prototypes to price loans, bonds and CDOs.
Support the methodology and tools to calculate the economic value of distribution and hedging transactions.
Engage in research into cutting-edge techniques for building and testing credit models, mark to market valuation and quantitative risk management.
Work closely with market and business specialists to ensure accurate assessment of risks and market benchmarking for asset disposals.
Identifying opportunities for transactions to support effective portfolio management and capital optimisation.
Demonstrating the capability of bringing innovative ideas.
What we'll need from you:
Distribution Quantitative Solutions team is looking for an Associate Director with a solid academic background (MSc/ PhD in Maths/ Statistics/Quantitative Finance) and preferably 5 years’ experience in the banking industry.
Essential criteria:
Outstanding mathematical skills
Proficient in programming languages (C# and Python) and Excel.
Experience in quantitative credit modelling and market pricing valuation
Knowledge of credit hedging and securitisation.
Desirable criteria:
Development of quantitative models for loan pricing, CDO pricing and credit portfolio management.
Market valuation to meet IFRS9 standards of financial reporting.
Collaboration with Model Risk Validation teams to seek models’ approval.
Calibration of multi factor correlation models within credit tools.
Development and application of machine learning methods to forecast financial data and linear programming techniques for portfolio optimisation.
High motivation and good communication skills are important, as is the ability to work productively and efficiently collaborating in a dynamic team environment!
