BU is fostering the growth of research that is relevant to society. To support this, Research Development & Support (RDS) is seeking to appoint a Funding Development Co-ordinator on a 0.8 FTE part-time, established basis.
The post holder will be responsible for providing expert administrative support for a large portfolio of applications for external research and knowledge exchange funding to contribute to the effective delivery of the pre-award service across the University. The post holder will be responsible for preparing budgets, ensuring funder guidance is understood and adhered to, drafting letters of agreement for external application reviewers, and providing support to the Funding Development Team.
You must be customer focused, numerate and have excellent communication and organisational skills and a commitment to service excellence. You will support grant and tender submissions, including costing and pricing, producing contractual documentation, checking eligibility and funder guidance, and institutional approval and submission. You will provide professional and specialist advice to academic colleagues on all aspects of funding development activity.

This position is available part-time for 29.6 hours per week. This position can be offered on a full or part-time basis or as a job share. Please indicate your preference at the top of your General Application form.
This position does not meet the eligibility requirements for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker Route within the UK Visa and Immigration service’s Points Based System. Therefore, BU will not be able to sponsor individuals who require permission to work to carry out this position.
