Job Description
AECOM is looking to recruit Civil Engineers at all levels to join our busy development infrastructure teams across UK. The development infrastructure teams manage many multidisciplinary residential led projects, with design work spanning scoping and feasibility, technical support for planning and detailed design of infrastructure for implementation, and support during construction.
AECOM design teams work throughout the UK and Ireland on a range of infrastructure projects including highway, rail and water infrastructure schemes. We provide civil design to support our structural engineers on commercial, education, leisure, defense and other government buildings.
This is an ideal opportunity for a suitably experienced Civil Engineers to develop their career and take on increased responsibility for technical delivery and project management.
Role Responsibilities
- Technical delivery of projects.
- Oversee and direct the work of junior team members.
- Checking the production of studies, assessments and/or conceptual designs for development schemes including drainage, roads, utilities, earthworks and flooding.
- Liaison with regulatory bodies and stakeholders to deliver the necessary approvals.
- Interfacing with clients.
- Contribute to project bids and proposals.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Civil Engineering Degree and/or master's degree
- Relevant experience, ideally with a consultant in Highways and Drainage design for residential and commercial schemes, and other infrastructure schemes.
- Experience in working with developer clients and contractors.
- Proven track record in delivering infrastructure projects.
- Experience in supervising and developing staff.
Preferred Qualifications
- Incorporated or Chartered (or working towards) Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers
- Member of the Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management or Member of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation.
