Diageo Supply Chain and Procurement is at the core of Diageo’s Premium Drinks business, as it is the division responsible for production of the brands sold all around the world. The operations have broad geographic and cultural spread, requiring significant sensitivity and the ability to influence across Diageo group boundaries.
In July 2022 we established a dedicated end-to-end Global Business Unit with its own leadership and unique skills and capability, known as our Rare Luxury business. We will target HNW consumers globally, through private sales and differentiated platforms that highlight the exclusivity of our products (priced at USD330+ and above, per bottle) showcasing permanent High-End variants and fame-driving innovations. The role sits within our Rare Innovation & Brand Change team. Our team is accountable for the delivery of the Rare I&BC agenda and will provide a large NSV contribution to Diageo.
The specific role of the Project Manager – Rare is to successfully deliver projects from concept to commercialisation within the Rare product portfolio.
What you’ll be doing:
The individual will need to operate in a complex and demanding environment, across a broad range of stakeholders including Rare, Global Brand Teams, Innovation Teams, Markets, Planning, Regulatory, Quality, Procurement, Make, Move, Finance, Suppliers, and design agencies.
The role of the Project Manager - Rare is to successfully deliver Rare Innovation to meet the high expectations of some of our most demanding customers and consumers.
This role operates across a Global Markets and an ever-evolving environment.
Your responsibilities will be:
Main point of contact for the customer to scope and deliver the project.
Lead the cross functional supply team to deliver projects in line with customer expectations agreed through Gate process, measured against time, cost and quality.
Reporting your performance and progress of activity.
Build strong relationships across all stakeholder groups.
Engage and support development of new and improved ways of working.

What you’ll have:
Ability to inspire and lead your cross functional project team to consistently deliver projects, as part of a high performing team that is delivering Diageo’s ambition.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, being capable of developing strong working relationships.
Strong project management skills with sound knowledge of a wide range of packaging materials and processes including:
Design and development of packaging and materials to meet desired quality standards.
Material handling, transportation, and transit robustness
Artwork specification and management and reprographics process
Risk management practices and techniques
Experienced or ability to develop sound understanding of Luxury products and packaging.
Enthusiasm for transforming our ways of working and processes.
Understanding of Planview system and Navigate stage and gate process requirements.
Excellent organisation, report preparation, and presentation skills.
