New product development is crucial so that we deliver the drug discovery tools of the future. Summary of position
The successful candidate will occupy a central, customer facing role within our organisation. Their drive, vision and enthusiasm will enable them to influence drug discovery globally through the presentation and improvement of Flare™, Cresset’s platform for molecular modelling and design, as well as helping refine our next generation of products. Working with customers and developers they will define and prioritize new and existing features and see these through development and onto the market. Working with our commercial team they will define business models and strategies that will drive the wide adoption of Flare.
Key Responsibilities
- Product design, delivery and marketing to time and on budget
- Input into the design and testing of new features, algorithms and interfaces
- Management of the product lifecycle
- Input and contribution into the profit and loss for the Cresset software business
- Development of collateral including presentations, white papers, and videos demonstrating the applicability of the methods in Flare to solve problems in drug discovery
- Presentation of Flare to customers and other Flare stakeholders
- Input into the technical support of Flare customers
- International travel to support customers and scientific conferences and exhibition
Requirements
- Experience of applied computational and/or medicinal chemistry in a drug discovery organization
- Proven experience of working across multiple protein targets and therapeutic areas
- Working knowledge of Cresset software and/or competitive products
- Confident presenting to small and large groups both face-to-face and virtually
- Self-motivated, with good communication skills
Desirable
- Knowledge and/or experience of product management and new product development
- Knowledge of structure-based computational methods
- Knowledge in Market research and competitive analysis
- Experience of enabling business change into a research organisation
- Product management training and/or qualification
- Experience of working with commercial teams
- Language skills desired, but not essential
Location:
- Visits to office based in Litlington, Cambridgeshire, UK will be required
- Some travel to customers, conferences and collaborators also required
