NHS Lothian covers Edinburgh city, East Lothian, Midlothian, and West Lothian. We are the second largest health system in NHS Scotland and one of only four teaching Boards. Do you want to be an essential member within the Lothian Medicines Governance and Guidance team and the new East Region Formulary team?
If so, this is your chance to be part of a truly innovative service change across the East of Scotland - the first of its kind in the UK! You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team bringing real change to how we can improve the use of medicines for the people of Lothian, Borders and Fife as we develop and establish the business as usual for the East Region Formulary. We are looking for an Information Officer to work as part of this team to provide information, education, and training. This post works closely with formulary pharmacists to support the administration and co-ordination of Medicines Governance workstreams which support the safe and effective use of medicines. Most work is strategic in line with national priorities with the opportunity to respond to enquiries from key stakeholders with support from the wider team. You will have proven organisational skills, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, high attention to detail and be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of professional and technical staff to assist the team in delivering work required to support Medicines Governance in NHS Lothian. This post will be based at Waverley Gate with the opportunity for home working.
