The Opportunity
HeliosX is looking to hire a Finance Analyst to support in the preparation of management accounts for the group's US entities. The role also involves contributing to wider financial reporting and control workstreams, as well as supporting the Senior Financial Accountant in building and embedding financial processes across the group. The position will suit a part-qualified accountant (or someone with ambition to pursue a professional accounting qualification) who is eager to learn and develop in a scaling, international business.
This is a full time, permanent role. The successful candidate will have a hybrid working arrangement split between our Central London offices (c. 1-2 days per week) and working from home.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support in the preparation of management accounts for HeliosX Group entities.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations, prepare/post accruals and prepayments, and support with consolidation entries and financial adjustments.
- Work with stakeholders across the business to analyse influencer and marketing spend.
- Support the Senior Financial Accountant to build, implement, and advocate for robust financial processes and controls.
- Act as a point of contact for external auditors, handling queries and schedules.
- Assist with weekly cash flow forecasting. #LI-hybrid
What you'll bring to HeliosX
- 2 or more years' management accounting and general ledger experience, ideally in an international and/or scaling business.
- Part-qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.) or looking to study towards a professional accounting certification.
- Strong data literacy skills, with high proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.
- Ability to work with internal stakeholders regarding variances to budgets.
- Experience in the use of SME finance systems (Xero preferred, but not essential).
- Proactive mindset, an ability to work in an ambiguous/fluid environment, and a desire to learn.
