Job Description

Role Title Youth Housing Development Coach

Team Foyer Youth Housing

Salary £22,626 - £24,904

Working hours 36.25 hrs per week

Location Trinity Court, Crown Street, Aberdeen but may require some outreach work across the city

Why? We believe no young person should experience homelessness and if they do, it is rare, brief and non-recurrent. This role demands a youth centred approach that supports choice and positive transitions to adulthood.

What? Work with a caseload of young people aged between 16 and 25 who have experienced or are at risk of homelessness to manage their tenancy, live independently and access the resources they need to thrive

We believe no young person should experience homelessness and if they do, it is rare, brief, and non-recurrent. We are looking for people who bring compassion, energy, who go the extra mile and believe in young people and their amazing potential.

As Development Coach you will engage flexibly with young people to build trusting and respectful relationships with them, understand their strengths and challenges and how the whole team can support them most effectively.

You’ll be an empathic person, able to understand and respond to the needs of young people as they navigate through a challenging time in their lives. You will support them through one-to-one sessions and a variety of other ways to develop their confidence and resilience as individuals and help them move to a positive independent future.  You will be solutions focused and able to remain calm and show initiative when faced with challenging situations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organised individual who can hit the ground running to join our expanding Foyer team supporting young people to thrive in their local community.

If you have the experience and skills mentioned and want to make a real difference to the lives of young people and our organisation, this is the ideal role, and we would love to hear from you.
